Wow, been a while since I posted on here. Been buried in work since I started with my most recent client. 1 1/2 sites later and I’m finally able to take a breath. I’ve never actually built a full site before, but after the work I’ve done on http://raceithard.com/ and http://driversbigtop.com I’ve learned quite a [ READ MORE ]
I know I haven’t posted in a while, but that’s because all the work I’ve been doing has been, for the most part, a whole lot of little things. I’ve gone back over a lot of my code for the racing game, working harder, making things work better, somethings work faster… overall working stronger… and [ READ MORE ]
I finally got the calculator for RaceItHard.com running a simple mock race. I’m still working out a few of the numbers to make it nice and balanced, then I’ll be applying what I learned while building it to PHP so the server can run races on a timer by itself. As of now, the calculator [ READ MORE ]
We’re not yet ready to actually -race- yet, but RaceItHard.com is open for registration. There’s no actual -game- there yet, but I’m working on it. I got the deep linking to work, so your browser will remember your navigation and you’ll be able to use your back and forward buttons, as well as bookmarks. I [ READ MORE ]
Got an updated version of the Grange Dance flier. The one I made was very last minute and we realized afterward that it needed a little more information, such as the grange’s address and prices[ READ MORE ]
I was forced to take a break recently as the server I’m putting all this racing game work on is having technical difficulties. This has, however, given me the change to organize my other projects. I’ve been working with a local grange since the end of last year (a whole 4 months ><). No, I’m [ READ MORE ]
I’ve done a lot of behind-the-scenes work on the racing game recently, but I’ve finally got some stuff that can actually be show. Orion’s been kind enough to provide me with some key pieces of art for the game, so at last I have some in-progress screen shots. It may or may not change to [ READ MORE ]
1150 lines of code into the racing game, and whatta ya get? Looking forward to another 1k+ lines before it’s even ready for release =_= but cest la vie. We hope to have, by the end of the week, the rest of the art up for the town and the player’s house, as well as [ READ MORE ]
I’m still having some trouble with the racing game, mostly little road blocks, but road blocks none the less. On the other hand, I’ve made some good progress on the Mr.P’s hunting game. I’ve got it to populate the stage with trees, shrubs and deer randomly at run time, and we now actually have graphics [ READ MORE ]
I took on a project from an old buyer (the gentleman who commissioned the digger game) to make a hunting game. I’m going to fashion it after the old Oregon Trail PC game because here at GMS, yes, we’re -that- nerdy. But then (we’ll call him Mr.P for anonymity’s sake) Mr.P explained that his partner [ READ MORE ]
